Roundtables 30th SCHMS

The Round Table format is a set of talks with a common theme.

Each Round Table consists of five students, each of whom takes on one of the talks related to the common theme of that particular Round Τable. The effort of each Round Table is coordinated by a supervisor. The duration of a Round Table is one hour and 15 minutes including questions.  Each student has 12 minutes to present and 3 minutes of discussion with the audience. Time is a prerequisite for the smooth flow of the Conference.

-The students must be registered members of the S.S.H.M.S. and the responsible professors must be faculty members of the Faculty of Medicine or another University Department.

-The selection of participants is carried out independently by each Chapter. Of course, your local Chapter is available to resolve any questions you may have.

This year at the 30th S.C.H.M.S., we are continuing our inter-chapter "Ask the Experts" Round Tables. We are continuing the first trial of the 29th S.C.H.M.S. following the initiative of the 28th S.C.H.M.S. Organizing Committee for Interchapter Round Tables. Thus, students who were not selected for one of the Chapter Round Tables or who would like to work with other people from other Chapters will have the opportunity to register for the Inter-Chapter "Ask the Experts" Round Tables. These will be composed of 5 participants from different Chapters, under the supervision of a Scientific Officer and will take the form of a Q&A and discussion. More specifically, the members of the group in consultation with the responsible professor will decide on the topic of the Round Table, which will be announced both on the website and social media of the 30th S.C.H.M.S. and at the same time a questionnaire form will be opened for the participants and the S.C.H.M.S. audience. Thus, the panel members will construct their speeches based on the questions submitted by the audience, and at the end of course there will be time for additional questions that may arise.

Of course, there could be no shortage of Round Tables to be undertaken by partner groups, such as student scientific societies and student groups from Schools of Health Sciences and other university departments.

Submissions for participation in a  Round Table after the deadline will unfortunately not be accepted. For direct contact with the Organizing Committee, please e-mail 30esfie@gmail.com.

We are looking forward to your participation in the 30th S.C.H.M.S.!
