The Chapter of Crete of the Scientific Society of Medical Students of Greece (S.S.H.M.S.) is one of the seven chapters of the S.S.H.M.S. with active participation in its Greece-wide projects. The members of the chapter hold meetings on a frequent basis in order to discuss future actions, volunteering events and various other issues of the Chapter. The main concern of the Chapter is the holistic and experiential approach to Medical Science, as well as the development of scientific, research and voluntary interest of both students and young doctors.

Last year, our Chapter, thanks to the participation and support of its organizing committee, managed to organize many projects, some of which have now acquired a traditional character, since they are organized every year, but also, new, creative actions. So, last year, some of our main events were the annual Practical Skills Seminar in Clinical Practice for Wound Suture, the Forensic Science Seminar, the Specialty Orientation Day, the first Surgical Research Seminar, as well as the Thoracic Surgery Seminar with educational consoles.
